How do you survey a site for pool building without hiring a surveyor every time?
You create a site assessment checklist: soil type (dig a test hole), underground services location (call Dial Before You Dig), drainage (observe water flow), access for equipment. You document with photos. You don't quote until checklist is complete.
How do you price for ground complications (rock, clay, poor drainage)?
Your site assessment identifies them. If rock removal is needed, you quote additional excavation hours. If drainage work is needed, you quote that separately. Client sees what they're paying for. You don't absorb surprises.
What's your labour baseline for different pool build stages?
You time your crew on five pools: excavation (hours per cubic metre), plumbing (hours per pool), concrete work (hours per sqm), tiling (hours per linear metre), equipment install (hours per pool). You have a baseline for each stage.
How do you document pool finishing standards so crew executes consistently?
